Pacifico Beer Review

For one of The Brew Club’s Mexican Beer reviews, I cracked open and tried Pacifico. I’ve heard some good things about Pacifico, and many people rave about it, but like anything else there are those who dislike it and rate it poorly. Beer is really a matter or personal preference – To each his (or her) own! Here’s my impressions of Pacifico!
My first impression was very positive. This beer had a truly distinct smell. At first I thought it was kind of flowery smelling, and then I thought clover for some reason, and then finally it hit me! Honey! This Pacifico beer had a distinct honey smell! Cool!
I was intrigued at this point and didn’t really look at all the clarity and bubbles and the foam produced, I just wanted to taste it! The Pacifico lager was smooth, and left a very nice honey-aftertaste. Some people I spoke to didn’t think it even tasted like beer – I did, it just had this cool honey thing going for it. I liked it a lot!
I wouldn’tt say that Pacifico is a ‘honey-flavored beer”, even though the color strongly resembles golden-honey, so you don’t have to worry about that. Pacifico does seem to have a bit of sweetness that really sets it apart from other Mexican beers I’ve tried.
Quickly wrapping up this beer review of Pacifico for The Brew Club, I would definitely try it again, and I would recommend that you try it too if you haven’t. Of the Mexican beers I have tasted and reviewed so far, Pacifico is my favorite, beating out the Negra Modelo as the “Best Mexican Beer” for Cinco de Mayo – or any time you feel like having a quality Mexican beer!

This is by far one of the best tasting beers I have ever had (59yrs old). I tried this on a trip to Mexico in 07 and couldn’t get over how incredibly smooth it was. You can buy it where I live but it’s rather pricey here in Iowa.

Both the beer and the packaging are exquisite. Strohs had a wonderful presentation until ruined by the blue can!

I have had many of South Africa Brewery Beers one of the worlds leaders. I have to say that on a recent trip to Atlanta i sampled this beer. Pacifico is simply amazing! It the best beer i have ever had. It’s great discovering a new taste sensation. Ciao Joe

Well let me start by saying I drink alot of beer. I like the mexican beer because they are so smooth, yet have a great substance. Pacifico is no exception. i would agree that there is a nice light honey after taste. It is rapidly becoming my favorie beer, You can realy put alot of these down. Viva PACIFICO!

Pacifco beer is by far one of the best beers ever brewed,I’ve been drinking it for years and have never grown tired of it …taste even better in mex by the keg or the 32oz bottle perferably on a beach with some fresh seafood.
They also produced a light version only available in mazatlan…

Pacifico is the best mexican beer out there. Pass on the Corona and get one of these.

I just finished one. I put a little bit of lemon or lime in it. It’s been my favorite beer for years. Nice to see others agree. Viva la pacifico!

Pacifico is simply amazing. I had my first one when I was 17 in Mazatlan for spring break and havent stopped drinking them since. Its fantastic with a small lime or without. Many people see it as a “mexican beer” and wont even try it. They truly dont know what they are missing out on.

i first had it cus the box seemed chill and relaxing. I only drink Pacifico now, its always good here in LA with a double double from in n out.

Yeah like this beer a lot – going to Mazatlan for the next 8 days on surfing biz trip – gonna try to do the brewery tour – may even drink a Pacifico at LAX so I can bring one back to the point of origin!

Lance, sounds like a great plan! It’s been awhile since I’ve had this beer, but as comments continue to trickle in over time I remember how much I liked it. I think I’ll wait until its a little warmer than it is now, but I need to pick some up some Pacifico again.
