Hi Jeff,

My recollection was always that it was initially brewed in Bangalore, by Mysore Breweries as the founders couldn't get the backing to get it brewed in the UK.

Charles Wells now brew it in the UK under licence, and until recently it was brewed in Poland.

I was under the impression Cobra was first brewed in Britain, for the British (not just "English"!) market, but now is being brewed over in India too. I might be wrong.
