Scott - Thanks for stopping in. Hey, different strokes for different folks - that's my motto. If you found something you love, and the ladies in your life dig it too, well more power to ya! Nothing wrong with that my friend.

I must be confused. I LOVE THIS BEER and it's my favorite. Tried Octoberfest, Shipyard Pumpkin Ale and JACK's is my FAVORITE. The flavor is exceptional... I drove to 4 stores in NH trying to find it. I used to shop at Shaws.. but they don't carry it and I even changed supermarkets for the season.... this drink is love at first drink.

My thoughts exactly Bob, although, kudos to Scott for trying a michelob product. I too attempt the 'craft-ish' stuff they put out, simply because I can't say that the stuff i normally drink is superior without an adequate frame of reference, and i risk being wrong (though I haven't yet).

Look forward to reading up on some french beers!

Watch this site for a review of a nice French beer Coops... you may be surprised.

I tend to agree that the thought of Pumpkin Ale doesn't really appeal, to me pumpkin is a bit like popcorn, you add cinammon and hey, it tastes of cinammon!

In fact other than the seasonal Thanksgiving type thing I can't think of a single reason why you would want to add pumpkin to a beer.

Bob the Brit’s last blog post..Things can only get better

It would be a hard decision to pay money for something that sounds so disgusting. But, I've always been of the opinion that we must try different things before deciding if we like something or not.

In that vein, next time I get into the 'big smoke' I'll get some unusual flavoured beer that I wouldn't normally experiment with.

Anything but French beer. Sorry, the few I have tried aren't very, how you say, distinctive.
