I live in Harrisburg, PA and the brewery is about 5 minutes from my house. Now I may be a little biased, but this is up there with one of the best beers I've ever had. Unfortunately we can only get it between November and the beginning of January.

Your description of the head of the beer is right on, it's very small and disappears quickly. As for the taste it sounds like the bottle you had might have been a little off. You get the flavor of cherries and a hint of honey as you mentioned, but also a warm almost cinnamon and spice flavor as well. There is a slight alcohol taste, but for a beer with 11% alcohol it's surprising how easy it is to drink and how smooth it goes down.

It is a great winter beer, and most restaurants/bars that sell it around here will limit you to two because of the high ABV. My personal rating for this beer is 4.5/5, but like I said I may be a little biased. If you're ever in central Pennsylvania in the winter you must seek this beer out. You won't be sorry.

Hey don't think we've seen this one, will have to keep our eyes open for it next year. Sounds like a good Ale. The hint of cherries and honey sounds good to me.
My husband just reviewed the Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale we both really enjoyed this one. Stop by & let us know what you think.
