I picked up a bottle of the Oatmeal Stout for sampling. I'm really looking forward to it - supposed to be one of the best! :-)

We reviewed their Old Brewery Pale Ale on our site. I will try to find it on tap when I come to the UK in May, though. Nothing makes most bottled beers even better than having them on tap.

My objective in doing these reviews from the UK is to review beers that you might not regularly see elsewhere, and also to identify beers that are worth looking out for if you manage to visit the UK.

It's probably worth bearing in mind that many breweries bottle their session bitter as 'Pale Ale' and as such, it's worth looking for their 'Old Bewery Pale Ale' although that's brewed up to 5% ABV.

Great read. This isn't something I expect we get here in the states as I have never personally seen it on any beer store shelves.
