Chelsea Brewing Company Cask Ale Festival

I typically don’t do this sort of thing on The Brew Club, but perhaps you remember back in June I briefly reviewed several Chelsea Brewing Company beers from memory.  I got to try them as a guest at a BBQ thrown by Chris (and his wife)- Chris is Chelsea Brewing’s Brewmaster.  In addition to some excellent beer and great company, my wife and I got to eat a LOT of good food!

I don’t think Chris is cooking this time, but if you are in the NYC area this weekend, The Chelsea Brewing Company (Manhattan’s only active brewery) will be holding a Cask Ale Festival!

The festival starts at Noon on Friday October 9th, an runs all weekend through Sunday, October 11th. The Cask Ale Festival will feature 40 American brewed Casks, and unlike many festivals there is no admission fee.  Its a “pay as you go” kind of deal.  Pretty cool!

So, if you’re in the NYC area this weekend, head on down to the Chelsea Piers for some good food and beer!

The Chelsea Brewing Company is located at Pier 59 in the Chelsea Piers.  (Which is roughly 18th St. on the West Side Highway).
