I do tend to set my benchmarks high!

In fact, I’m going to try another weissbeer this evening, and plan to follow it with a Weihenstephaner for direct comparison. Could be interesting.

Awesome! What a great beer & Review I might add. We have been picking up Kegs of this at Total Wine (Roseville, CA), for a few years now. Although it is a special order, I find it takes only a few weeks to get and is always fresh. Definitely a good bench mark to hold all other wheat beers too. For another summer favorite I found their Krisstal Weissbier to be very delicious as well (similar to Hoegaarden).

@Dee – I’d say keep looking, or ask the manager at your regular places. Its fairly common and shouldn’t be too hard to get. Cheers!

Had a bottle and found this to be an interesting complexity of flavors. Very citrus and smooth. Where does one by in CA? Only found Wallys so far.

Well, I had the opportunity to try this beer this weekend – I was looking for Christmas beers to try and I remembered that Bob rated this very highly and I bought one! Great beer indeed!
