It is a huge issue, as Scott says, but tinkering with unit intake and targeting sensible drinkers with absurd limits does nothing to raise awareness of alcoholism, which is a disease and should be treated as such.

That is absurd. I am glad those big brewers reduced their ABV's by nominal percentages. I'm a big fan of personal responsibility and a big fan of the Government staying out of my affairs - yet we have an issue where people will get hammered, and then do something stupid like drive or become 'anti-social'. Where is the line drawn? I think most beer drinkers are very responsible, but I also know some alcoholics who have made their families miserable and have really left a lot on the table regarding what they could have been in life because of their poor choices. I suppose I'm getting off point a bit, this can be a huge topic, but I think people should be responsible for their own choices and face the consequences for them, good or bad. I wouldn't blame Brewdog for anti-social behavior, nor would I blame Glock for crime or Phillip Morris for lung cancer. You, the individual make the choice, but be prepared to face the music.
