I noticed that too compared to the other Belgians I had, but to me the flavor was just better overall. Yes, a bit flat, and it also seemed stickier in the mouth than the others I had as well, but of the 3 I had this year I thought this was the best! Style over substance for me in this case! Apricot - hmmm I'm not sure I got that specifically, but its possible. Maybe candied apricot!

Hmmm. I'm not a huge fan of the Delerium. Mine was under-carbonated. A lot of people I've talked to had the same experience. I saw from your review that you had the same experience. I don't know if you saw my review but I thought this had some really nice apricot tones. Did you think so?

Michael, I actually did like it. While I said it was 'good but not great', I did give it a 3 out of 5, and suggested that people try it. I just thought the Delirium Noel was better in comparison.

Scott,

I'm surprised you didn't like this. I think it's one of the best x-mas beers out there. We reviewed it last x-mas when we were just a baby site. Here is what we thought. http://thankheavenforbeer.com/2008/12/06/drink-with-us-friday-corsendonk-christmas-ale-review/

I still say Corsendonk sounds like a piece of autonotive diagnostic equipment.."hook the alternator to the Corsendonk and get a readout of the amperage!" Sounds pretty good. I'll have to find some and give it a try!

I didn't specifically look for it, but there it was! It was a fine beer for Christmas, but not my favorite!
