@Jim - thanks! Gotta say even though this brew has a higher ABV, the alcohol was not disproportionate in the flavor. I think they amped up the orange a coriander a bit, but overall this one is a winner in my book. You're right about a great value. Unbeatable I think. I think you got your Imperial Porter for a steal as well from what I remember.

@Liz - Thanks. All I can say is you better hope the Jets win or there will be no mercy for you come Monday!

@Bob - Respectable indeed! You feel it going down, but as I mentioned the alcohol isn't overpowering up front which I appreciate in a beer. I think I'm going to try finding some more while there still available!

I think the Long Trail Brewmaster Series offers really nice beers at very affordable prices. They are a bargain compared to some other 22oz beers and taste just as good. Also, I'm not a wheat fan, but there's something about your description that makes me want to go out and get one of these puppies. Maybe you have a way with words. Or maybe it's the ABV. :)

@Jeff, thanks for stopping in! I think I missed the coffee porter - I can't find that one anyplace, but I'd love to try it! Based on this beer, I think the folks up @ Long Trail are doing a lot of good things!

Haven't tried this one, yet, but all the other Long Trail Brewmaster Series have been great! The Imperial Porter and the Double IPA definitely stand out, although the Coffee Stout was very good as well.

I hope that works out for you Don, this way you don't have to worry about Jim sending you his unwanted Saranac beer! I really liked this beer, and I'm looking forward to trying their Imperial Porter soon as well. Generally, I like Long Trail's stuff.

This sounds like a really good brew Scott. My beer guy is looking into setting up a warehouse distribution point, and perhaps a little storefront in Michigan. That way he can get all the great East coast brews, and he can have them shipped to Idaho too! That would be great to have someone who is mindful of the supply and is working within the system to get those brews out here too! Long Trail has seemed to have a lot of good brews that I have read about. Funny you mentioned about putting your nose in the beer. I accidentally did that last night! LOL
