I really like Bud Select 55! I have been dieting and have lost 30 pounds and I can still have my beer and drink it too! Now I am on vacation and am having a problem finding it in the stores!

@Woodrow – I guess that’s a positive? Sounds like the gluten-free beers to me, where dietary restrictions limit what beer you can have, so you get to like what is available. Stay healthy, my friend.

It’s low carb beer for us diabetics that don’t want our feet amputated, but that’s not very marketable, so it’s called select 55 instead. If you develop diabetes, you’ll love this stuff

OK ditch. Thanks. Actually, it seems to be 2.4% ABV which makes sense because the label said “no more than 3.2%”. Not sure how you come up with 4% but what do I know. Also, thanks. I didn't know that ABV meant Alcohol By Volume. the alchohol is 4% by volume. not 3.2%. they go by volume. if u dont know beer, dont review it, dumbass

@Matt – Thanks for stopping in. I think there are a lot of people who are just on auto-pilot when it comes to beer and don’t even think of anything else. We just have to keep trying to get the word out!

I was at the Shoprite Liquor Store in Columbia Park, North Bergen yesterday, looking for a 6 pack for some awesome Olympic hockey. First of all, they have perhaps the worst selection I’ve ever seen. Secondly, as I’m walking in, a guy was walking out with a 6er of Michelob Ultra in one hand and a 6er of this crap in the other. I was going to say something, but was at a loss for words…

@Brian, you make a good point. I think that there might be several reasons why its in clear bottles.
1) I think its probably cheaper.
2)Skunkiness is probably a desirable quality in a beer like this. If not for some skunkinesss, there would be hardly any flavor!
3) I bet that this stuff flies off the shelf so fast that it doesn’t have time to skunkify
4) the amount of hops in the beer is likely so small that there is only so much skunking that can really happen.
