We just got a Whole Foods and it is difficult to make it out of there without an unnecessary beer purchase. I haven’t tried this one but had Cowbell Imp. Oatmeal Milk Stout (nitro) a couple of weeks ago and it was fantastic. I’m sorry the Riverhorse didn’t live up to your expectation. That’s a bummer. I think I’m just a fan of nitro beer. I have yet to try one I didn’t flip over.

Thanks Don – I have to give the Jersey brewers a little extra if I’m on the fence about something! It wasn’t quite as extreme as sucking on a penny, but I could would have liked it better otherwise.

Scott, you’re such a push over for Jersey Brews! It sounds like you should have rounded down to 2.5 stars instead. I really dislike odd metallic tastes. I feel they have no place in beers, but I guess some people must like them or else they wouldn’t be making brews that tasted like sucking on a penny. Maybe next time. At least they could have blocked your way out of the store with a good tasting brew…Sheesh!
