Happy 2011 from The Brew Club
December 31, 2010
Wow, it seems like only yesterday I wrote the first Happy New Year post for The Brew Club. That was in 2008! Yep, time does fly, and I can’t believe that 2010 is already over!

Father 2010 and Baby 2011
Looking back over the past year, we’ve seen several original members of The Brew Club move on leaving just myself, Neil and Jerry at work to exchange beers once in awhile. It works because now if we each bring in a six pack for exchange, we each get two beers instead of just one. Less variety, but the extra beer is nice to have especially if its really good!
I’m also happy that Bob the Brit (aka Bob Massey) is still with us and consistently cranks out great posts about beer from a Brit’s perspective. Thanks Bob and we look forward to more good stuff in 2011!
The Brew Club was also privileged to get a new guest poster, Lee Salawich who has been sharing with us some of his interesting brewery tours from Vermont to Alaska! We’re hoping to hear more from Lee in the months ahead, and hope you are too!
So, what’s in store for The Brew Club as we enter our third year blogging about beer? Well, obviously we’ll be reviewing craft beers, and beers from all corners of the earth as we have from the beginning. That’s what the site has always been. A chronicle of beers that we’ve tried and record our opinions of them. We don’t assume to be professional beer judges, but I think we all strive to improve. We strive to improve our palate by continuously trying new beers, and we try to improve how we write about those beers. Hopefully, its an enjoyably process for you too, and we’re happy that you’re along for the ride.
In that regard, nothing makes me happier than when I get an email from someone who tried a beer because of a beer review they read here on The Brew Club – and they liked it! Remember, our goal here, if there is one, is ‘Expanding Your Beer Horizons’. Heck, that’s our tagline!
We’re always looking to expand the site to topical beer posts, guest reviews and brewery tours just to mix it up a bit, but we’re mostly a beer review site and we’re happy with that.
I’m not a preachy type either. I know we have great readers who take their beer seriously, and responsibly. So, my message to not drink and drive isn’t to you necessarily (because you know better!) but its a reminder to you to pass on the message. Celebrate the new year, have fun, drink good beer, but please don’t put me or my family in danger by driving impaired. Its not cool!
So, that’s the 2010 sendoff post. On behalf of everyone who helps make The Brew Club tick, I’d like to wish you and yours a happy 2011 and thank you for being a fan of The Brew Club! We really appreciate it! While we never preach about how you should live your life here, we’d just like to remind you to please drink responsibly.
See you next year!

Hey Happy New Year Scott! I just want to know one thing. See that picture above with father time holding a newborn GIRL? How does that work? The new year is born a girl and changes to a boy during the year? I’m confused! Was I once a girl and changed to a boy? I don’t remember that.

@Don- Happy New Year to you too! I think way back then the babies were more into the hippy thing, and it was hard to tell the boys from the girls.
As far as YOUR situation…..I’m not going to touch it!
