10 Commandments from The Lost Abbey is a 10% ABV ale brewed with honey, raisins and rosemary. Mmmmmm! This special beer came to me as a very nice ‘Thank You’ from a New Jersey ex-pat living in cold and cloudy southern California.

Sam Adams Noble Pils is a relatively new beer. I think 2011 is the second year its been made. It replaces the White Ale as the Sam Adams spring seasonal offering.

It got me thinking about how negatively ingrained the word ‘Lager’ is in my mind. You say ‘Lager’, I think fizzy yellow beer. I can’t help it, and I bet a lot of people suffer from this negative word association. I think that I even avoid a whole family of beers because they are in Lager world, and I can’t shake the fizzy yellow beer thing!
