Being just slightly lazy recently, I thought I’d put together a little St. Patrick’s Day beer roundup for you to enjoy, or not enjoy as your mood dictates.
I’m not really going overboard this year on the Irish beers, or the Irish-themed beers either for that matter, but I’ve had a decent amount of them in the past few years which I thought I’d dig up for your consideration.
Starting most recently, and the only Irish-themed beer I’ve had this year, Sam Adams Irish Red. Rating:

Last year, there was a big push by the people marketing the Strangford Lough “Legbiter Ale“. Almost every beer blogger reviewed it but then I’ve never seen it on the shelves. Anyplace. Not bad if you can find it. Rating:

Murphy’s Irish Red, of course is found everyplace. Get this if you have no standards at all. Rating:

Now we’re talking! O’ Hara’s Irish Stout is actually made in Ireland by an Irish brewery! Total Wine seems to carry this beer around St. Patrick’s Day and its definitely worth trying. Rating:

Mc Sorley’s Irish Black Lager is one of those American beers with an Irish name. I guess it works. I didn’t really care for this one either, but many of the people who commented seemed to like it better than I did. Rating:

Arguably the Irish beer. Guinness Draught. Bob the Brit gave it a healthy 4-star rating! Rating:

Smithwick’s Irish Ale is another beer with great heritage, but left me unimpressed at best. People in the comments seemed to either love it or hate it. Such a polarizing beer! Rating:

Of course, we had a great guest post “Irish Beer – Past, Present, and Future“ by Ireland’s own ‘Beer Nut‘ who tells it as he sees it. A worthy read for sure.
And there you have it. A quick recap of Irish beer posts! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
