One of the neat things about running a blog about beer is that you get to interact with a lot of interesting people from across the country, and across the world!
Two of those interesting people I’ve gotten to know over the years are Micheal Reinhardt and Nate Watson who run the excellent beer blog, ThankHeavenforBeer.com.
They started their blog back in 2008 around the same time we started here, so I feel like in some ways we’ve grown up together.
I’ve gotten to know Mike and Nate through their excellent postings on all things beer, interactions on our mutual websites, and even a little more so through email correspondence and some beer exchanges!
The point is, I like these guys!
See, Mike and Nate have been working toward a dream of opening their own brewery for many years. Now, they’ve gotten to the point where its time to realize that dream. So, when they approached me to help promote their effort, I was all in!
And you can help too!
They’ve decided to harness the power of Kickstarter to help generate the much-needed funding to get their operation, Wilderness Brewing, off the ground. Kickstarter is essentially a funding platform which allows people like Mike and Nate to raise capital from people who want to help. Like you and me!
Count me in! How about you?
With Kickstarter, you can give as little or as much as you like toward their goal, so if you can only swing $5, or even $1, that’s just fine. The point is, that the more people who get involved with the Wilderness Brewing Kickstarter project, the better chance there is for Nate and Mike’s dream to become reality. A lot of small donations can add up.
So, here’s what I’m asking you to do.
- If you can, please consider contributing to the Kickstarter project for Mike and Nate’s brewery project. Contribute only what you feel comfortable with. You can click here to contribute. If you’re looking for more information on what Mike and Nate are trying to do, check out this video where many questions are answered!
- Spread the word! You can help Mike and Nate realize their dream by spreading the word about their fundraising efforts. You can Like, Tweet, Stumble, email or whatever, either this post, or their Kickstarter project page to anyone you might think would be interested in helping. (There are social media buttons below the post to make it easy for you to spread the word!)
How cool would it be to help people realize their dream? Head over now and help these genuinely good guys get their brewery started?
