Last Call to Help Kickstart a Dream!
July 28, 2011
If you’ve been reading The Brew Club recently, you’ve likely seen a couple of posts on here asking for you to consider helping our friends Mike and Nate (of ThankHeavenForBeer fame) start their brewery.
They’re using a service called Kickstarter to raise the funds needed to get the ball rolling, and they’ve done a heck of a job picking up supporters and donations from people who want to see them realize their dream. Don’t get me wrong, getting 148 people to pledge over $22,000 is no small feat, but the drop-dead date for the project is fast approaching.
Here’s the deal. If they don’t get $40,000 pledged by Thursday, August 4 2011, they’ll get zilcho, nada, nothing from their Kickstarter project. I’d hate to see that happen, wouldn’t you?
That’s the way it works. Reach the goal by the deadline, or no beans, no cigar…nothing.
So, while there’s still some time, why not consider hopping over right now and making a pledge to help support these guys? You can pledge as little as a dollar if you like, and your credit card does not get charged unless they reach the $40,000 goal.
If you still need some info to help decide, why not check out the promotional video they put together up toward the top of the page. I think that you’ll agree its a project worth supporting. And remember, August 4 is only 6 days away!

Well, it looks like as of the deadline today, Mike and Nate were able to reach their goal with nine hours to spare! Congratulations to them both!
