Sam Adams Winter Lager – Surprisingly Good! Its a dark wheat bock with an almost perfect balance of spices, malty sweetness. A sleeper of a good beer you should check out.

Two seasonal Christmas beer offerings from Brewdog -those boys in Fraserburgh. In the past they’ve done extreme things, but they’re constantly trying new recipes and, when they get it right, their results are little short of spectacular.

Meantime produce around thirty different beers a year, most bottled, some in kegs. In the coming months I will explore more of their brews for The Brew Club, but for now, I will concentrate on their London Porter, which many consider a signature brew.
