I thought it would be worth mentioning (in case you hadn’t noticed) that we’ve been posting at a little less frequency here @ The Brew Club.
It’s nothing personal, its just that with a 10-month old, a beloved cat with an extremely rare bone tumor, a having a job that gets less and less secure as the days go by, I’ve got to refocus my time a bit.
This site, while I LOVE it, needs more of my time than I have – and a big part of that is trying to maintain a 3 ‘quality’ post per week schedule. I just can’t do it anymore right now.
That’s not to say I haven’t had help. Bob the Brit, and more recently Lee Salawich (and other guest posters) have been awesome and regular contributors, which has helped so much!
But looking ahead, I don’t see having the time to produce the amount of material that I have been producing.
So, what does that mean?
For the moment, it means a minimum of one post per week. The site will not die – we’ve all put too much into it, but we’re going to scale back a bit for now.
That doesn’t mean you won’t see weeks with more than one post depending on what’s going on, but for the most part, one post per week will be the new norm for awhile.
Thanks for reading – and thanks for your support.
Scott – TheBrewClub

I have a shelf full of brews to work my way through Scott… and I’ll get onto it.
@Bob – As you know, we’ve already got quite a bit of content in reserve to post, (thanks to you), so don’t sweat it!
I’ve found it rather enjoyable to have a beer without having to worry about getting a picture, and thinking about it beyond if I like it or not. I’m sure I’ll get my mojo back when things settle down.
Let me know if you’re interested in doing any food/beer related posts. Remember that George Washington Porter/President’s Day post you did from 2 years ago? I finally have something ready to go for it. You’re welcome to post it here too if I can get my act together. I’ve been a blog slacker for a while now. It’s okay!
@Rachel! Yes, I do remember, and I’m happy to hear from you again!
We can definitely do something like that in the future. We’ve been cranking out stuff at a pretty consistent pace since 2008, and I’m proud of that – but reality at the moment hasn’t let me put the same energy into The Brew Club as I’d like.
I just thought a post for our regulars would be appropriate so they don’t abandon us completely!
I don’t know if you would be interested, but you are always welcome to use any of my reviews as “filler” if need be. I don’t know if you think the reviews are worthy or not, but take a look and see. If they are not, no big deal.
Hey Scott – thanks for the offer! Your reviews certainly are worthy, but the search engines tend to look at copied material as a bad thing (think stolen). Of course, it isn’t, but what do machines know!
I’d hate to get either of our sites penalized – its hard enough to get noticed out there as it is!
Not a problem. That’s totally understandable. Just thought I would offer. I appreciate your site and if there is anyway I can help just let me know. Cheers.
Scott, thanks for the awesome job you’ve done with the site thus far. Hopefully you’ll regain your mojo soon, and it’s understandable with everything you’re going through. One quality post a week is better than nothing. Cheers!
@Lee – Thanks, and let’s not forget to mention your contributions here! Everyone has just been so great, and that’s why I’m going to keep it going even if its at a little slower pace.
