Mongozo id a toast, meaning “Cheers” or “to your health” in the Chokwe language of sub-Saharan Africa. Their beers are brewed in the Netherlands using fair trade sourced ingredients from around the world. Last year Scott reviewed a couple of Gluten Free Beers for The Brew Club and not I really didn’t know what to expect when I approached Gluten Free Beers. Having tasted a few I can can confirm that here in the UK, we are well served with Gluten Free beers, and have a variety of styles from which to choose.

The Bard’s Tale Beer is considered an American Lager and it weighs in at 4.6% ABV. The most important information regarding this beer is its ingredient list, which is quite simple. Water, Sorghum, Hops and Yeast. Also important is what is NOT in the beer like wheat, barley, rye or oats.
Wheat Free and Gluten Free Beer Review – Redbridge Beer

Redbridge beer is the gluten free Budweiser that is acceptable in how it tastes, and despite its wateriness and lack of character is a vast improvement over the regular ‘Bud’ if that what you’re used to. Its still a lager like the regular Bud is, but this beer is actually palatable, and like I said isn’t really bad. It just isn’t something I would buy for the heck of it, or dare bring to a party!
