When I read that Brewdog were getting together with Weihenstephan (Europe’s and probably the World’s oldest brewery), then I was genuinely excited.

The Brew Club checks out ‘Baden Baden’, a weissbeer from Campos do Jordão in the south of Brazil and ‘Bamberg’ Munchen from a microbrewery in the same city. By all accounts there is a sizeable German population down there in the south of the country, and there are breweries that clearly cater to their wishes.

I’ll risk the wrath of Schöfferhofer fans here, I consider Schöfferhofer Hefeweisen to be a second division wheat beer. It’s crisp and refreshing, but not quite up there with the classics like Franziskaner or Weihenstephaner.

Shiner Hefeweizen was consumed easily and did its thing, but its hard to jump up and down about when there are obviously better choices out there for me.
