This is frankly an astonishing brew. It punches way above its weight, would have guessed this to be up in the six percent club. As such, this would be a great session beer on a hot summer’s day.

Welsh Pride Ale 4% ABV

Flavour-wise, initially you get hit by the hops, almost stunning your palate, but there’s a toffee malt lurking behind, balancing the hops, along with a hit of yeast.
It’s neither pleasant nor unpleasant, but unmemorable.
Brains Barry Island IPA 6% ABV
August 10, 2015
This is a pleasant enough, hoppy enough, but just not ‘American’, which is, I guess, a pre-requisite for a brew that describes itself as an ‘American Style IPA’.
Celt Experience Seven Flowers Double IPA – 8.1% ABV
June 21, 2014
While this is an IPA, it’s reminiscent of Sam Adams ‘Noble Pils’ . Imagine ‘Noble Pils’ with a massive 8.1% of alcohol; that underlying potency provides a solid foundation to the complex flavour.
The Celt Experience ‘Native Storm’ 4.4% ABV
March 1, 2014
While most people are aware that March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day, and that St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. It’s a less well known fact that March 1st marks St. David’s Day, and that St. David is the patron saint of Wales.
